Join Our Team: Bilingual Family Support Advocate

Richland First Steps is adding a new bilingual team member to support the needs of English-speaking and Spanish-speaking families in its home-based family support programs. This is a full-time position located in Richland County, SC.

Family Support Advocates (FSAs) provide home-based services in English and Spanish to pregnant women and families with children aged zero to three in Richland County. They work within the framework given to ensure that all activities are grounded in positive, ongoing, and goal-oriented relationships with families. Outcomes may include family well-being, parent-child relationships, families as lifelong educators, families as learners, family connections to peers, and community and families as advocates and leaders. FSAs must implement all Head Start Program Performance Standards, First Steps Parents as Teachers (PAT) program standards, and standards set forth by local and state agencies with oversight of program.
